Pantothenic acid – Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 participates in normal energy production processes and contributes to the normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and certain stimulants. It is proven to contribute to reducing fatigue and fatigue, normal mental performance, and participation in normal energy production.
Vitamin B5 is soluble in water and should be replaced regularly, as are other B vitamins. The name of pantothenic acid already refers to its place of origin: the Greek name means ubiquitous, so it occurs in many foods. This vitamin was discovered in 1931. Pantothenic acid exists in two forms: pantetin and calcium d-pantothenate. The latter is suitable for most purposes.
Its main natural sources are bran, fish, poultry, whole grain flour, yoghurt, legumes, egg yolk, kidney, liver, yeast and broccoli.
Although pantothenic acid has many useful properties, it is typically found as an ingredient in B-complex formulations or high quality multivitamins. Because the members of the Vitamin B family work together more effectively than individually, so if you are deficient in Vitamin B-5, you may want to take at least one B-complex supplement.
